Reasons to love Paris. Part I

Because each side of the pond should have some love...

I always thought that if Paris and New York were to be human Paris would be a classy woman and New York an handsome gentleman (Audrey Hepburn/Sean Connery).

Of course Paris doesn't have that very specific energy that makes NY so special but who wouldn't kill for a coffee (or two? or three) in a café ?

I have to be against the common idea that Paris is more romantic than New York. Mostely because I think romanticism comes from who you are with, not where you are but also because the fact that New York is such a big city can make you feel like it is only you+your beloved.
(ok this one should go in the Reasons to love New York...)

Do I have to mention the food? (Ari, I know we have some amazing food in NY but you know French and their "food pride"!)

Also now Paris, like NY, has snow !

  2. it should be more like... new york, LIKE paris, has some snow... haha (and we really don't yet... that's the big joke of it all!)

Anyway, I think yours is a stunning post and I so agree that these dynamic cities have truly layered personalities. they have their big BLAM out and center personalities for the tourists, destinctive vibes in every neighborhood (for the locals), but more deliciously, they have their nuanced personalities within the blocks, nooks, allies, apartments.

Not to mention, how the energy of the people around you... and how YOUR energy from the day interacts, adds, detracts, mingles with the particular neighborhood, weather, etc. multifaceted, different form one day to the next; hell, from one hr to the next!

I can't wait to go back to paris... I haven't been in 15YEARS?!...

I can't wait to see you over my birthday this summer IN paris... and earlier yet... you, here in BROOOKLYN in April!

LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU! xxa
